Book me for a concert!

I love to create warm and festive occasions at libraries, schools, art centers, museums, or even in your own home.

My performances combine harp, singing, Irish traditional tales, poems, piano, Irish flute, tin whistle, chances to sing, speak a little Irish, and to laugh and enjoy being together.

People often tell me they leave one of my shows or workshops feeling something between wildly hopeful and elated.

We have a good time!

Contact me to explore the possibilities.  I welcome all inquiries, inspirations, and wild imaginings.

Kind Words about My Programs

I don’t think I’ve ever seen the kids so engaged with any other storyteller. ~ Westfield Athenaeum

Our annual date with Kate! This master performer shares Celtic tales and songs, from earthy to sublime, accompanying herself on harp and charming one and all with her great voice, keen eye for material, sly wink or two and winning smile. ~ StorySpace, Cambridge, MA

Kate’s generous skills are unmistakable and defy enumeration–only beginning with her ability to delight the audience, her musical chops, and the crackling, mutable energy of a true scéalaí. Her performance warmed everyone on a chilly December day: her name filled the room, and her joy and cheer sent the audience home with burgeoning, spirited hearts.” ~ Muir Haman, Lunenburg Public Library

Kate Chadbourne made our performance space sparkle with energy, romance, wistfulness, and joy.  Her stories are beautifully told and delightful; her creative juices are boundless and engage the audience as willing and enthusiastic players in her program.  And the music, both sung and played on her lovely Celtic harp….Oh, that is pure magic.  What a smashing evening this was! ~ Deborah J. Weiner, Monroe Saturday Nights
