WELCOME, my friends, to the third week of our April Poetry Celebration!

Thank you with all my heart to all of you who have been writing, sending poems, watching, commenting, liking, sharing, and cheering us all on. You are making the celebration SHINE!

This week, some THIRTY POETS sent in wonderful poems and I share a handful of them in today’s video; we reunite with a poet you all loved last year and have the thrill of hearing two poems from a book that will be published *next* year; I share a poem about an object that connects me to someone I love; and I issue our weekly Spark and Dare as well as a request.

And if that’s not all enough, there’s also a surprise guest!

1. If you’d like to participate, please send one or more poems to me at kate@katechadbourne.com by Friday, 23 April at 5 pm. I’d be so grateful if you could put all of your weekly poems in one email and further, if you could put all of them either in one document (one attachment for me to open) or just pasted into the body of the email. Thank you, everyone, who helped me in this way last week.

2. Remember that for each week you send one or more poems, you receive an entry into our journal drawing. Four weeks of poems = four entries in the drawing = four times the chance of getting a prize. 🙂

3. As ever, I’m so grateful for your comments likes, subscribes, and shares. It is all so very kind and encouraging to me personally and it helps to spread poetry and creativity which is really the whole point. Thank you, my friends!

My heartfelt thanks to The Academy of American Poets for the magnificent poster you see hanging behind me (Please visit them at https://poets.org/), and my continued thanks to Jumping Fox Design for the journal I’m using this month and for the three others waiting to be claimed as prizes. I’m filling it up with ideas, dreams, words, drafts, and POEMS.

My heartfelt thanks to YOU, wonderful community. Let’s be POETS this April!
