I know that this day can feel like so much sugary candy floss wrapped in plastic and tied with a synthetic bow, but that’s not how I want to see it.
I’d rather take the invitation offered by its best self: the invitation to Love.
To love each other.
To love the world.
To love ourselves.
To love what’s easy and what’s hard.
To love the beautiful and the not beautiful.
To love what’s here now.
To love the whole, complex, unholdable, swirling infinity of our lives.
And to be an undaunted flag-bearer, holding up the standard for Love.
To be one of those crazy dreamers who keeps believing.
To be one of those wise Merlins whose magic keeps turning all things into Love.
To be a troubadour with a broken heart who keeps singing.
To be a bold adventurer drawing new maps to what is lovable.
To be a connoisseur of Love, savoring its flavors and beguiling spices.
To wear my X-ray glasses that see Love at the heart of everything.
To wear my wings that fly me up to the altitude of Love.
To wear my cloak that wraps up every single hurt being in a mantle of Love.
To see Love, hear Love, taste Love, touch Love, scent Love, know Love, BE Love.
Let’s be Lovers in this world, my dear friends.
Let’s do everything necessary to keep our hearts open.
Let’s light up the world with Love!
Sending you Love today and always,
KateΒ
PS – I sent this to my wonderful newsletter community yesterday but want to be sure that you see it, too. We’re all in this together.
PPS – The “heart house,” as I think of it, is not too far from here. They put up these lights last Christmas and I love them so much. Aren’t they wonderful?
